The 98 Custom Tippmann Platinum Sniper package sees Tippmann make a quite competent foray into the entry level market for paintball sniper markers. Highly versatile and customizable, this package will make a great first marker for those getting into the sport and looking to dominate in a sniper role, or an excellent value backup marker for more experienced players.

The Tippmann Custom ACT Platinum marker bears the new ‘Split Receiver design’ which allowed us simple and lightning fast access to the internal components of the marker, making the mods we performed a breeze. The internals themselves have been further simplified to improve reliability and ease of maintenance.

For such an inexpensive tippmann paintball sniper, this package certainly shows incredible attention to detail, from the new matte finish and porting on the barrel, to the picatinny rails and redesigned grip. Changes to the sling mount end cap also meant we were able to test a better range of sling configurations.
