The Tippman A-5’s cyclone feed system, reknowned for its performance in delivering maximum firepower did not disappoint in our testing - fluid, reliable and fast. When we tried it with the Pure Energy N2 Air System upgrade, the field of fire was nothing short of devastating. The other option we found most valuable was the e-grip, was just that bit more comfortable and ergonomically assisted consistent accuracy at the outer ranges of the weapon as well as comfort in a prone position over an extended period.

VERDICT: All up we found this package to be one of the best we’ve tested for the intermediate group, superb quality and astonishing value. While the range is not quite competitive with some of the $1000+ sniper models we’ve tested, this can be extended with the flatline barrel option and is still among the longest for any rifle in its price bracket. Combined with the overall acuraccy and build quality we have come to expect from Tippmann and the excellent value of the accessories bundle, this package is likely to be one of the most popular sniper paintball gun packages of 2008.
